During the academic year 2008-2009, given the importance ascribed by the School to leadership and management, a strategic five-year plan for IE Library (IE Business School Library and IE University Library) was set in place. Within this planning process, the mission of IE Library was defined as a permanent commitment to meet the educational and research needs of the academic community it served, this being achieved through collaborative processes of knowledge creation via the access and dissemination of services and resources. This vision came to be accepted as essential to the development of teaching and research activity. To this end, the library will always maintain its vocation of providing service to this community, permitting it to fulfill the mission conferred upon it by the European Higher Education Area, and to contribute to the pursuit of excellence, drive for innovation and the dissemination of knowledge.
