Juan Lladó Award to Cultural Patronage and Research

October 22, 1985, saw the creation of the Juan Lladó prize, which went on to become one of the most prestigious prizes in Spain in the field of cultural patronage and research. It was created by the José Ortega y Gasset Foundation and Instituto de Empresa in 1984 in recognition of work carried out by members of the business community in the field of cultural patronage and research. The prestigious prize was awarded to key players in Spain’s corporate arena, including Ramón Areces, Carmela Arias Díaz de Rábago, Plácido Arango, Jesús de Polanco, Isidoro Álvarez, Carlos Ferrer Salat, Emilio de Ybarra, José Ferrer Sala, Juan Abelló, Germán Sánchez Ruipérez, Jordi Clos, Enrique Iglesias and Rafael del Pino.
