During this period, specifically until 1999, and keeping with IE’s global projection, the library was managed by specialists in different areas. This development, in addition to the change in location, was a key milestone in the library’s history, leading to the creation of a global unit from which all the knowledge accumulated until that point could be coordinated. Traditional library services were put in place, including a manual catalog of existing publications, as well as a digital version created by the I.T. department. Books were ordered through a sequential number system to facilitate their location, a system was established for ordering and lending books and journals in coordination with the directors of each department, and subscription opened to the first databases.
