Maintaining access to the collection and the need for information as strategic priorities, the library incorporated the following new services during the academic year 2011-2012: instant messaging (chat); on-site lending of mobile devices (iPads and tablets); introduction of mobile web capabilities, access to the site through QR barcodes; and an online presence on social networking sites Twitter and Pinterest.
