The library has grown considerably in terms of its electronic collection, including resources, journals and books. This development has been crucial given the international profile of our users and the corresponding need to provide online access to material, as well as complying with IE policy. Currently, the library offers remote access to some 32,000 electronic books, almost the same number as it houses physically, some 38,000 printed volumes, and a further 36,500 electronic journals. At the same time, some special collections are taking form (Spanish Transition to Democracy and the Province of Segovia), adding further value to the IE Library name, especially as such collections are set to be included in international services such as the European Library
