Growing strong both in numbers and quality

In 1999 IE Business School began a drive to increase the size and quality of the library, through a considerable increase in funding, conversion to international cataloging standards, and the ordering and classification of materials according to subject area relating to the courses imparted on IE. But above everything, through the adoption of Universal Decimal Classification (documentary language used in encyclopedic, hierarchical structures), the free access to the collection and the implementation of a Document Management System, the student access to the virtual library and catalog via the online campus, and an inter-library lending service.
