The Library at IE Business School (IE Library) has evolved and developed in parallel with its parent institution. Back in the 1970s, the offices of professors doubled as storage space for the books they recommended to their students. Before long, a separate room was needed to store the books, allowing materials to be compiled and shared. As Instituto de Empresa gained renown as a business school, the need for information and materials became more pressing, and an official library was created.
