María de Molina 31, 2012 (7.000 m2)
The year 2012 saw the opening of the Maria de Molina 31 building, which brought a further 7,000 m2 of classrooms, syndicate rooms, offices and classes, and initiatives like Area 31, a space dedicated to entrepreneurship and innovation. This building boasts a new design model with teaching and non-teaching spaces, co-working areas, and state of the art technology, video conference facilities and a recording studio.
The new building at María de Molina 31 was the start of a major restructuring of the campus to achieve greater efficiency and to improve student services. This building currently houses the International MBA program, the Executive MBA program and the Masters in Finance, together with the management teams of IE’s online and blended programs. María de Molina 31 is open throughout the year from early morning until 3am to facilitate student’s needs in terms of coursework and meetings.
When the María de Molina 31 building was opened, some of the smaller campus buildings were closed, such as Maria de Molina 7 and 27, Príncipe de Vergara 183, Castellana 60 and Pinar 14-16.
